Two new comedies from
Producers/Playwrights in Residence
Ariana Johns and Mindy Pfeffer!

FINDING ELVIS,
by Mindy Pfeffer, takes us on a road trip to
Graceland, where two longtime friends
re-kindle their friendship through a surprising
roadside discovery, and to a tiny bar, where a
lonely fan of the ‘King’ finds true love in an
unexpected way. Directed by Nicola Sheara,
and featuring Noni Connor, Dana Patton,
and Mindy Pfeffer.
MOONBITE,
A MONTAGE OF RADIANT LUNACY
is a playful, eccentric romp, featuring some of the
denizens from the penumbra of society. Michael
Bergen, Ariana Johns, Mindy Pfeffer,
Chelsea Roach, and Victor Truro
perform comic vignettes of characters searching for
love and understanding...and a trip to the moon!
Written/Directed by Ariana Johns.
MICHAEL BERGEN (Man
Two, Moonbite) Recent credits include Hippolytus at
the Roy Arias Theatre Center and the short film
Waiting for Marion Cotillard, directed by Christophe
Averlan. He has trained at Michael Howard Studios
with Greg Mullavey, Gabrielle Berberich, and Patsy
Rodenburg, among numerous others. Michael holds a
B.A. in Theater Studies from Duke University.
NONI CONNOR (Actor,
Finding Elvis)has been working with Wallace Norman
and the Woodstock Fringe in Woodstock and New York
City since it began. She appeared in the Woodstock
Fringe Festival’s productions of Women on Fire and
Backwards as well as in a staged reading of a
one-woman show about Elizabeth Robins, an
American-born actress in London who was the first
English-language Hedda Gabler. Other public
Woodstock Fringe readings included works by
Playwrights Unit members Paul Graham, Jerry McGee,
Mark Farnem, Wallace Norman, Victoria Devany,
Victoria Sullivan, Mindy Pfeffer and Charles Traeger.
MINDY PFEFFER (Author,
Finding Elvis, Woman Two, Moonbite) is an actor and
playwright. She most recently appeared in Inside/Out
directed by Ping Chong. She has acted in over 60
plays at theatres in New York City and regionally,
including LaMama ETC, the Roundabout Theatre,
Peterborough Players, and Shadowland Theatre.
Mindy’s full-length plays include the one-person
play Men I Never Dated (NYSCA grant recipient),
Swimming with Esther (part of the Woodstock Fringe
“First Looks” series), and Dreamland (presented on
the Coney Island Boardwalk). In addition, Mindy has
had short plays presented at the Lab Theatre
Workshop, Emerging Artists Theatre, and Six Figures
Theatre. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild and
the Woodstock Fringe Playwrights Unit. Mindy is
delighted to have this opportunity to work with the
Woodstock Fringe.
ARIANA JOHNS
(Author/Director/Woman One, Moonbite) As an author,
Ariana’s plays have been produced in L.A. (Actor’s
Art Theatre, The Road Theatre, NoHo Studios, Theater
East) and NYC (The Lodestar, Cubiculo, Hamburger
Harry’s), as well as Regionally at the BoarsHead
Theatre, Lansing, MI. Recent roles include Helen
(Baby With The Bathwater, ADA Nomination) and Claire
in Proof (Odyssey Theatre); Off-Broadway: w/Tom
Carlin in Pigeons On The Walk. Her solo play,
Vampingo...a comedy with bite was produced at the NY
International Fringe Festival, and has been
developed into a screenplay. As a comedic
writer/actor, she performed w/John TenEyck (Too
Idiots), as well as OK, So We Lied, The Odd Squad,
Chicago City Limits, and Alarming Behaviour. Films
include Chasing Tchaikovsky, Wall Street 2, Strange
Hearts, and the short film, Vampingo Club
(writer/actor). She’s very happy to be a member of
the Dramatists Guild, & the Woodstock Fringe
Playwright’s Unit, as well as a producer of this
year’s festival!
NORA O’REILLY (Stage
Manager) Since graduating magna cum laude from
Emerson College in 2008, Nora has been a part of
stage management teams for Ping Chong & Co./LaMAMA
E.T.C. (NYC), The Actors' Shakespeare Project
(Boston), and The Keegan Theatre (Washington DC).
Also an experienced performer, she is a proud alumn
of The Stella Adler Studio of Acting. Thanks to
Mindy Pfeffer and Ariana Johns for this wonderful
opportunity.
DANA PATTON: (actor,
Finding Elvis) Dana has been a participant of the
Woodstock Fringe Playwrights Unit since it’s
inception six years ago, as well as appearing
locally in many TheatreSounds readings. Theatre:
Stop the World, I Want to Get Off (Lambs Club and
Second National Tour); The Bear (Ensemble Studio
Theatre); Hitler’s Childhood (Irish Arts); The
Autumn Garden (Arena Stage); Towards Zero (Olney
Theatre). Film: David’s Story: A Teen Suicide; The
Emerging Woman & The Double Day (Intl. Women’s Film
Project); The Long Journey. Television: Tomorrow’s
Families & Footsteps Series (PBS); Scenes from
American Life (WNYC); A Woman is…in a New World
(NBC); Dr. Ruth Show (Lifetime). National
commercials, voiceovers and industrial films.
CHELSEA ROACH (Woman
Three, Moonbite) A graduate of Michael Howard
Studios' Summer & One-Year Conservatory. Chelsea
holds a BA in Theatre & Dance from The University of
Texas in Austin Texas. Some of Chelsea’s some past
credits include Are you there God? It's me,
Showcase. (Lead) & Street Scene (Lead, Rose Maurrant)
at Michael Howard Studios, Our Town (Mrs. Soames) at
UT, & A Matter of Taste (Lead) directed by Bastion
Carboni. Film: Proper Villains (Patty) directed by
William J. Orendorff. Trained at Michael Howard
Studios with Greg Mullavey, Gabrielle Berberich, and
Patsy Rodenburg, among others. Most recently
involved with Terra Incognita Theater's Moving
Landscape Public-Space Performance series.
NICOLA SHEARA
(Director, Finding Elvis, Director/Actor First Looks
Series) Broadway: Grapes of Wrath (TONY Award, Best
Play), National Tour: Nicholas Nickleby (Best
Featured Actress Award, Cleveland Critics Circle),
Off Broadway/Regional theaters across the country
(Best Leading Actress nominations: Brighton Beach
Memoirs, The Country Girl). She’s the founding
Artistic Director of THEATERSOUNDS, now in its 10th
season, which has produced readings of 87 plays
utilizing the talents of over 135 actors. Recently
she directed at the EAT Festival (NYC), and
Dangerous Obsession (P.A.W.) Nicola’s happily been
w/the Woodstock Fringe since its inception,
directing A Cabaret Evening of Brel & Piaf, In
Trouble, Backwards, Art, The Great Nebula In Orion,
The Punishing Blow (world premiere); performing in
The Days Are As Glass, Women On Fire, The Cardiff
Giant. In NYC she directed the world premiere of OH,
VIRGIL! by Woodstock Fringe founding Artistic
Director Wallace Norman.
